A squirrel is an excellent architect and an excellent builder. It perfectly sets up a new nest when it needs.

A squirrel usually has three nests: one for the children, one to sleep and take naps, and another one to hide from harsh weather.

The small rodents weave their nests from very thin branches, quickly and skillfully tying them together with their small paws. Everything is done very carefully. First, a squirrel takes a big batch of branches and squeezes them together. Then, it bends them into a big sphere with exits at the front and the back. Usually, a nest has two exits. When winter comes, everything is patched up with extra moss and leaves.

The extra cold days a squirrel likes to spend in her nest, using her big tail as a warm blanket.
