How many players are there in a kabaddi team?

Kabaddi is a contact team sport. Played between two teams of seven players, the objective of the game is for a single player on offence, referred to as a "raider", to run into the opposing team's half of a court, tag out as many of their defenders as possible, and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders, and in a single breath. Points are scored for each player tagged by the raider, while the opposing team earns a point for stopping the raider. Players are taken out of the game if they are tagged or tackled, but are brought back in for each point scored by their team from a tag or tackle.

It is popular in South Asia and other surrounding Asian countries. The game was popularised as a competitive sport in the 20th century. It is also the national sport of Bangladesh.

Each team must have a minimum of 10 (ten) Players and a maximum of 12 (twelve) Players in its match-day playing squad. 7 (seven) Players shall take the ground at a time and the remaining 3 (three) to 5 (five) Players shall be substitutes. The question here is not about players in the game. The focus here is on the make-up of players on a kabaddi team.

This has been an ongoing and frustrating problem. The question asked and the answer do not match. How many people are on a team and how many people are allowed to play at one time or two different questions requiring two different answers. For an example if you ask how many people are on a football team the answer would be 53. Of those 53 only 46 are allowed to suit up for any one game. Of those 46 only 11 are allowed on the field at one time. There may be some team sports where the number of people on the team and the number of people allowed to play at once is the same but most team sports have the ability to switch people out for whatever reasons. PLEASE HAVE THE CORRECT ANSWER ACTUALLY ANSWER WHAT IS ASKED. I do not think that is asking too much. 😁

Again, the mention of a single breath is used in a gross misunderstanding of the rules of the game. Further proof that English is definitely NOT the author's first language! SMH
