How many time zones does Canada have?

The list is from East to West. The six time zones and the provinces & territories with each zone, are - Newfoundland Time Zone (Newfoundland); Atlantic Time Zone (Labrador, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick & Nova Scotia); Eastern Time (Quebec, Ontario & Ninavut); Central Time Zone (Manitoba, Saskatchewan & part of Northwest Territories); Mountain Time Zone (Alberta & Rest of Northwest Territories); and the Pacific Time Zone (British Columbia & Yukon Territory).

Hmmm, Canada does have a territory called, Nunavut. Never heard of "Ninavut".

As a Canadian “Ninavut” is just too funny. Newfoundland’s time zone is only 30 min ahead of Atlantic time. Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism used to run ads that began “When you’ve got a 30 minute head start on the rest of the country........”

Nina Rankin, the Northwest Territory was split for better representation of the different northern communities. The gov't computer system ws just recently hacked with ransome wear, Gotta love the Russians.
