Milton S. Hershey introduced the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar to the world in 1900, and therefore, that makes it 116 years old. And still, at it current age, the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar (commonly called the Hershey's Bar) is the flagship chocolate bar manufactured by the Hershey Company. It continues to be called "The Great American Chocolate Bar" by Hershey and the American public.

After the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar was first sold in 1900, it was followed by the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar with Almonds variety beginning sold in 1908. In 2010, a circular version of the milk chocolate bar called Hershey's Drops was released in over 60 countries worldwide.

Today, the largest Hershey's bar commercially available weighs five pounds (2.3 kg). It costs about forty five dollars (U.S. $44.99) on the Hershey Company website.
