He was, and always will be The King! It wasn't an overdose! It was a heart attack. Admittedly it may have been encouraged by the many prescription drugs he took, but the blame rests with Parker. He encouraged Elvis' use of drugs purely to get him on stage. For the last three years of his life, Elvis was doing NINE gigs a week. Every evening and two matinées. Parker worked him to death, the greedy scumbag.

Donna, people have wanted you to believe that rumor. But at the time of Elvis Presley's death on August 16, 1977. There was a family member, who took it upon themselves, to take a photograph of the body, & sold it to a publication, for profit, & proof of his death.

Donna Houltberg, it's not about who is right, or who is wrong. It's about having the "burden of proof" to backup a person's credibility.

Kit Shibley, I agree with your response. But drug use has been a thorn in the side of entertainers for many years, past & present. What you had in this situation, was a man, just like Michael Jackson, who doctors wouldn't say no to, when it came to drugs being prescribed to them.

I catch those episodes of Autopsy. They did Elvis years ago. He was on opiates and other meds. That combined with peanut butter and banana sandwiches caused blockages and he couldn't relieve himself. This strain caused his heart to stop and he died in the bathroom!

He had medical history of heart disease. His mother also had the same disorder. He also suffered from glaucoma and diabetes. You only have to view his last live performance of Unchained Melody to see that he was not well. Yet he was still able to sing that song so hauntingly beautiful. Fans like myself know that the prescription drugs did not help his condition. However, there was no cover up as you suggested. He did have a heart attack. His doctor was under suspicion for the prescription drugs he was taking just like MJ. However, who said no to Elvis!
