Questions like this deserve no respect. Officially he would have been called First Gentleman, simply to avoid confusion. President is also correct, but only in settings away from his duties as First Gentleman.

Trick question, not funny at all. I thought of the whole former Presidents are called Mr. President thing but...since this is a totally new situation, in my opinion it calls for a new title. First gentleman sounded right to me.

Ring he would no longer have the right to be called Mr. President. That is only reserved for the president of the United States of which he no longer is. Therefore he would be referred to as the First Gentleman.
