In comedian Adam Sandler's creative, funny holiday song about Hanukkah, he says "Paul Newman is half Jewish, Goldie Hawn is too. Put them together, what a fine looking Jew."

Sandler wrote the song with the help of "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) writers Lewis Mortan and Ian Maxtone-Grahame and debuted it during the Weekend Update sketch on the Dec. 3, 1994 episode of SNL. The song was such a success that Sandler added it to his stand-up act. Over the years he has added/modified the lyrics to make them timely with various celebrities.

All variations of the song center on the theme of Jewish children feeling alienated during the Christmas season, and Sandler's listing of Jewish celebrities (both real and fictional) as a way of sympathizing with their situation.

Sandler also put the song on his 1996 comedy album "What the Hell Happened to Me!"

As an actor, Sandler, 51, has starred in many Hollywood feature films that have grossed more than $2 Billion at the box office.
