Armstand dive — a dive that's executed from a motionless armstand position on the edge of the platform. These are performed only from solid platforms and not the springboards.

Maridel Millanes, The dive that’s executed exclusively from solid platforms is the armstand dive. In this type of dive, the athlete begins from a motionless handstand position on the edge of the platform, and it’s not performed from springboards

That's not true. A backward dive can be done from a springboard as well as from a platform.
