In Mozart's opera 'Don Giovanni', how many lovers does Leporello claim Don Giovanni had in Spain?

In Mozart's 1797 opera 'Don Giovanni' in Act I, Scene 2 – the public square outside Don Giovanni's palace, Leporello tells Donna Elvira (a lady of Burgos who becomes abandoned by Don Giovanni) that Don Giovanni is not worth her feelings for him. He is a man that is unfaithful to everyone (all women); his conquests include 640 women and girls in Italy, 231 in Germany, 100 in France, 91 in Turkey, but in Spain, 1,003 ("Madamina, il catalogo è questo" – "My dear lady, this is the catalogue"). Donna Elvira then vows vengeance on Giovanni.

When Don Giovanni acts very badly to the women in his life, he never has any sense of personal remorse. He is forever irresponsible and often his very deplorable actions (conduct) can only be described as promiscuous at best.
