In the fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk", what musical instrument does Jack steal from the giant?"
In the fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" (1807), Jack climbs up a beanstalk into the clouds where a giant lives. He steals a hen that lays golden eggs, some bags of money and a musical instrument (a magic golden harp). Jack had seen the giant playing a song on the harp. He stole from his hiding place on tiptoe; he seized the harp. The golden harp however was enchanted, and, as soon as Jack laid hands on it, it cried out in such a way that it woke up the giant, who started up with a "loud roar”.
Since Jack was carrying the items that he had stolen, he was running home. The giant ran after him. Jack was just a the little boy. When Jack reached a good spot, he called his mother to give him an axe. With the axe in his hands, Jack then cut the beanstalk and the giant fell to the ground, dead. This shows that notwithstanding Jack's acts of stealing from the giant, he was able to win in the end since he seemed to have a good heart and good/strong motives.
