Full Metal Jacket is an example of a war movie from the 1980’s. It was directed by Stanley Kubrick and unlike other war movies, it tackles the psychology of soldiers who are trained to kill. It covers the difficulties the men face as well as the way they are mentally trained to think. It tells us why men psychologically yield to bad beliefs that can cause them to kill human beings.
