In the TV soap opera 'Neighbours', what is the family name of Susan, Karl, Malcolm, Libby and Billy?
The Kennedy family are a fictional family from the Australian soap opera 'Neighbours'. They featured on the show from 1994 until the soap opera ceased production in July 2022. Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) served as the local doctor while his wife Susan (Jackie Woodburne) was the principal of Erinsborough High. Since their arrival, the Kennedy family expanded to introduce several other members, including their three children Malcolm (Benjamin McNair), Billy (Jesse Spencer) and Libby (Kym Valentine).
'Neighbours' was about the lives of people that lived on a fictional street called Ramsay Street in Erinsborough. Storylines frequently focused on family problems, romances and domestic issues. It also covered many serious problems such as teenage pregnancy, marital breakdown, imprisonment, career problems, financial problems, pregnancy, abortion, terminal illness, eating disorders, alcoholism, adultery, drug use and drug trafficking, robbery, stalking, kidnapping, accidental death, hit-and-runs, murder, shootings, stabbings, and incest.
The Kennedy family were part of several key storylines, for instance when Susan slipped on spilt milk and hit her head, resulting in retrograde amnesia. She was unable to remember Karl or her children and believed she was a 16-year-old girl in 1972. The situation damaged her marriage and Karl and Susan decided to divorce. They later remarried after rekindling their feelings, and Susan's memory returned during the wedding ceremony.
