In what year was Prince Andrew born?

Prince Andrew, Duke of York was born in 1960 at Buckingham Palace, to Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. He joined the Royal Navy in 1979 and subsequently became a helicopter pilot, serving as such for 22 years. In 1986, he married Sarah Ferguson in a whirlwind of media attention, but in 1996, the couple divorced amid further media attention. He has served England in various capacities, most recently as a special representative for international trade and investment.

The first child born to a sitting monarch in 109 years, his mother was Queen Elizabeth II and his father was Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Young Andrew was taught by a governess at Buckingham Palace until he was 8 years old, and then he was sent to Heatherdown Preparatory School, in Ascot. When he was 13, Prince Andrew moved on to the Gordonstoun School in Morayshire, Scotland, where his father and older brother, Charles, went before him.

Scott Sumone, It is virtually impossible that Prince Andrew will ever be king. He was second in line before Prince Charles had children and grandchildren. With each succeeding birth, his position in line to the throne moves backwards. His brother Charles is next after Queen Elizabeth II passes on, followed by Charles' son Prince William, then William's son, Prince George, then George's sister, Princess Charlotte. Charlotte is followed by William's brother, Prince Harry, and then we find Andrew, now sixth in line.to the throne. Should Harry have children after his marriage this year, his children will also precede Andrew, moving him further back in the line of succession.

billyboy915, you are correct and now william has another son Andrew is even further down the line. As the line is now Charles, William, George, Charlotte, new son as yet unnamed, Harry then Andrew... Yes we have also changed the line of succession so females are not leap frogged

As a staunch Royalist, I think that Charles and his wife Camilla will make a great job of ruling after our Queen.
