Kid Rock played the character of Robby in the 2001 movie "Joe Dirt". Robby is one of the characters (a close friend) who helps Joe Dirt (David Spade) learn how to respect himself and appreciate his personal qualities which others find very desirable.

In the movie when Joe is crowned with a mullet and armed with a mop, he is a provincial janitor who lands in a series of zany misadventures. He befriends some eccentric characters as he searches for his parents, who abandoned him at the U.S. Grand Canyon when he was eight years old.
