The case of Jarndyce versus Jarndyce is being heard in the Court of Chancery, and is one of the many plots and sub plots which appear in Bleak House, a novel by Charles Dickens.

The case had been started many years before the events narrated in the book, and forms a backdrop to some of the central characters' pasts. The case is about a disputed inheritance, and keeps the lawyers on each side very much involved until, towards the end of the novel, a new document is discovered proving the case for one of the parties. However, at this point the case is closed, as all the money has been used up in legal fees.
