In which game can you double in and double out?
The game where you can double in and double out is darts. Darts is one of the simplest games to play. Each player starts with a score of 501 (the standard game) and takes turns to throw 3 darts. The score for each turn is calculated and deducted from the players total. Bullseye scores 50, the outer ring scores 25 and a dart in the double or treble ring counts double or treble the segment score.
The dartboard is divided into 20 numbered segments and a bullseye. Each segment has 4 scoring areas: 2 single, 1 triple and 1 double. The bullseye has an outer ring (single bull - 25 points) and an inner ring (double bull - 50 points). The following is needed to get a good or the best score in darts. Since the highest score one can achieve with a single dart is 60, and each shot consists of three darts, 180 is the maximum score per round. Building on that, the minimum number of throws to win is nine. Therefore, if a player scores a 60 on each of their first 6 throws, they would have to score a 141 on the last shot.
Regarding the origins and history of the game, modern darts was invented by a carpenter from Lancashire, England named Brian Gamlin in 1896. However the history goes back much farther. Darts began as a military pastime originating in England during the medieval era in the first couple of decades of the fourteenth century.
