Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, was related to Mahatma Gandhi.

Indira Nehru was the only child of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru born November 1917. She married Feroze Gandhi at the age of 25 in 1942 who was not related to Mahatma Gandhi though the photo is of young Indira with Mahatma Gandhi during his fast in 1924. Indira Gandhi served as Prime Minister from 1966 to 1977 and then again from 1980 until her assassination in 1984.
