Is this a real place?

These skulls and bones look quite scaring, just like a set of decorations for some horror movie. In fact, only few people realize all these can be found beneath one of the most beautiful, developed and popular cities in the world, Paris. Anyway, curious tourists are frequent visitors there. The catacombs beneath the city used to be a big dark Paris secret, and only a short time ago were exposed to the public. Going down to the catacombs is becoming more and more popular point of tourists' to-do lists.

Louis XVI ordered that all cemeteries must be outside the city, but due to the population of the dead bodies, some of the skulls and bones overflow to the next cities. Since the city needed a better place for the bones and skulls, when the French Revolution happened, the dead were buried directly to the catacomb’s ossuaries.
