Is this a real tree?

This tree, which seems to be fake, does really exist and is called the dragon blood tree. It grows in and around the Mediterranean region. The dragon blood tree is a quite popular natural wonder of the world. The name comes from the color of a sap given by this tree: it's deep scarlet. This sap has good healing qualities in curing wounds and different diseases. It is a popular practice to use the gum extracted from the roots of these awe-striking trees in the manufacture of varnishes and toothpastes.

The Dragon Blood Tree does NOT grow around the Medtierranean Region!. IT grows around the Indian Ocean which is not the same: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracaena_cinnabari

Yep ur spot on... Every source states that it belongs to the island of Socotra which is in the middle if the Indian ocean.

I will google if something strikes me and I want to know the answer. If I don’t know and don’t care I skip it, but honestly I think this might just be a game for older people, like me, who have been around a long time and have seen a lot of things! I guess I just like to know a bunch of stuff. I am a retired elementary teacher!

I have several Dracaena trees growing in my garden in South Africa. I've never been able to 100% clarify if they are the common Dracaena drago or the rarer cinnabari as they are young (oldest one is around 60 years old). Very slow growing trees.

Tal Segal, yes the Dragon blood tree is the Dracaena cinnabari and is exclusive to the island of Socotra. The Dragon tree (Dracaena drago) is found on various Mediterrenean islands. It's very confusing, as Google images tends to mix the 2 trees.
