Specifically, the Sahara desert covers over four-fifths of the land area in Algeria. However, Algeria is not alone.

Libya is also a country in North Africa 90 percent of which is desert. Libya is literally covered by the Sahara Desert. The only exception is the narrow 1200 mile coastline bordering the Mediterranean Sea, where almost 80% of its population resides.

Thus, when you look at Africa, it is obvious (self-evident) that these are the two nations in Africa are both about 90 percent desert.
