In a TV clip from "Seinfeld" Season 4, Episode 13, "The Pick", the Calvin Klein company is blamed for stealing Kramer's idea for a cologne. Kramer points to facts where the company wrongfully and willfully took his idea with the intent to permanently deprive him of its use and monetary benefit. Kramer faced the situation after he pitched his potential idea to strategic partners. They directly stole his idea.

In the episode, Jerry has a date with Tia Van Camp (Jennifer Campbell). She is the Calvin Klein model he met on the plane in a previous episode. After their date, Kramer identifies the perfume Tia is wearing, a Calvin Klein product called 'Ocean'. It is the same one that Kramer invented in 'The Pez Dispenser' called 'Beach'. When he confronts the Calvin Klein representative he first approached with the idea, the representative tells Kramer that 'Beach' and 'Ocean' are different things.

This was a sad situation for Kramer. The big corporation tried to steal his creativity without getting punished once it was caught. It appeared that because the business was rich it could do whatever it wanted. When ordinary people do wrong (steal things), they normally face harshest penalties. Here Kramer got some satisfaction. After going to Calvin Klein's offices to complain, he ends up becoming an underwear model. This is a result that Kramer can live with.
