On the Brady Bunch, what was Sam the Butcher's last name?

Not only was Sam Franklin the family butcher but he was also the boyfriend of the family housekeeper, Alice Nelson. Sam appeared in only eight episodes of the classic show but the eight did span the entire five season run.

The Brady Bunch was an American sit-com that ran from 1969-1974. It was a show about a man with three sons that married a woman with three daughters.

Sam married Alice sometime between the end of the original show in 1974 and when the TV movie, The Brady Girls Get Married, aired in 1981.

Aside from playing Sam, Alan Melvin also played recurring characters on the Phil Silvers Show, Gomer Pyle, USMC and All in the Family. He died in 2008 at the age of 84.
