On the CBS 1955 - 56 TV show "The Honeymooners", Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton were members of The Raccoons (The International Loyal Order of Friendly Raccoons), which was headed up by the Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler. This club was a fictitious organized society of men. They associated themselves together in an environment of companionship and brotherhood; they were dedicated to the intellectual, physical, and social development of their entire club membership.

"The Honeymooners" was one of television's most influential and beloved programs on the air in 1955 - 1956. This show starring Jackie Gleason featured numerous sketches and was a treasure trove of hilarious antics. It presented Gleason as a hapless Brooklyn bus driver who couldn't help but make mistakes. But, in the end he was still a lovable person. He enjoyed a life where he was completely and positively helped by his long-suffering but loving wife Alice (Audrey Meadows), his fun neighbor and pal, sewer worker Ed Norton (Art Carney), and Norton's wife Trixie (Joyce Randolph), who was Alice's best friend.

All the show episodes aired live and almost totally focused on the principal four characters, who used many fixed sets within their Brooklyn, New York environment to make the show come together.
