On the 1987 - 1997 U.S. TV comedy "Married With Children", Peggy Bundy (Katey Sagal) primarily hated to cook and clean the house. She was a lazy haired redhead who spent most of her time watching TV talk shows such as Oprah. She was a person who also liked to rob her husband (Al, Ed O'Neill) blind to go shopping.

She was an inattentive mother and nagging wife who used every opportunity she had to humiliate Al about his job and meager earnings. She even liked to make fun of his sexual abilities. Her big taste was for clothes and male strippers. These had run Al into debt on numerous occasions. A recurring joke in the series was Al's regret for having married Peggy in the first place. He was forced into marrying Peggy at gun point.

Peggy's best friend on the show has been Marcy (Amanda Bearse). Marcy and Peggy together really enjoy conspiring against Al. They love to make his life from time to time a pure living hell!
