The hour-long NBC cop drama "Hunter" (1984-91) starred former NFL star Fred Dryer as Det. Sgt. Rick Hunter. The lady cop on the show, Dee Dee McCall (Stepfanie Kramer), aka "the Brass Cupcake" had a tough as nails persona. She had a determined attitude that earned her the nickname the “Brass Cupcake” by most of her fellow male officers within the LAPD.

The two officers (Hunter and McCall) were teamed up and had to work together. McCall would often act as an undercover policewoman while her partner would act as her immediate back up. Her partner, Det. Sgt. Rick Hunter whose character was modeled after the movie cop in 'Dirty Harry' (1971), was often a rule-breaking, wily, and physically imposing homicide detective.

For 7 highly successful TV seasons, Hunter and McCall would act quick, use iron fists, apply hair-trigger tempers, and cite proper laws to solve harsh and deadly crimes. Throughout all their action-packed exploits, this dynamic duo remained united by a common goal which was to uphold law and order!
