Terracotta warriors, were created in 200 BCE as funery art. Taking 700,000 workers to create this massive terracotta army, which included 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses. They were created with the purpose of protecting Qin Shi Huang, China's first Emporer, in the afterlife. Buried with him, this display was found in 1974 by local farmers just outside Xi'an, Shaanxi, China.
