The 1997 film "Good Burger" tried to please hardcore fans of the 1990s Nickelodeon TV series which launched leads Kenan Thompson as Dexter Reed and Kel Mitchell as Ed to stardom. In the end some critics and enthusiastic devotees liked the movie, while all others found it neither satisfyingly rare nor well done according to over 3100 movie surveys that were completed. This was a movie that came out 20 years after the popular TV phenomenon on Nickelodeon’s comedy show "All That".

Kel’s comically dense character Ed, a Good Burger cashier, was introduced to the world in a 1994 sketch about the burger joint. From the time that he took his first order behind the counter, fans (the pre-teen age group) of the show couldn’t get enough of Ed. It took Nickelodeon a good amount of time but a decision was made for the big-screen film treatment of the sitcom "All That", starring the characters of Ed and Dexter.

In the film "Good Burger", it is a terminally silly farce in which comedy teammates Kenan and Kel try to save a humble burger joint from being devoured by the gaudy rival food joint across the street. They try to use their limited physical and mental powers to aid them.
