The liver is the largest glandular organ in the human body. It performs a lot of critical functions and keeps the body clean, removing toxins and unhealthy substances.

An average adult liver weighs about three pounds. It is located in the upper-right portion of the abdominal cavity under the diaphragm and to the right of the stomach. The liver is considered a gland—an organ that secretes chemicals—because it produces bile, which is needed to digest fats.

We cannot live without a liver. It is an essential glandular organ. Because of the polluted environment and unhealthy eating our liver often gets overworked and overloaded, so we have to pay enough attention to its state.
