With a rich history dating back to 1848, Omega is one of the world's oldest and most widely respected luxury watch manufacturers. The iconic Swiss timepiece company produces everything from elegant dress watches to technologically advanced sports chronographs, and Omega watches have been worn by everyone from actors in films to astronauts on the moon.

The first proto-OMEGA watches were made in a small watch shop in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland by Louis Brandt. Originally branded as Louis Brandt & Fil, these watches were sold to customers around the world during the 30 years after the business was founded. In 1879, when Brandt passed away, his sons took over the family business.

Britain's Royal Flying Corps used Omega watches in 1917 for its combat units, followed by the U.S. Army in 1918, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 1969 for Apollo 11. Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932 and is the current timekeeper of the USA's Cup yacht race. Omega was a main partner of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

In 1984, OMEGA officially changed its name to Omega SA - a subsidiary of The Swatch Group.

Since 1995, most action film lovers would be convinced that Commander and M16 agent James Bond, a naval man, a diver, and a discreet gentleman of the world would wear the OMEGA Seamaster with the blue dial. And he has done so in each film since. Resultantly, OMEGA SA created some limited edition timepieces whose special features honor.
