The town's canal, historic buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants make it popular with tourists.
The history of the town can be traced back to Roman origins. It has several buildings dating from the 17th century, when the town grew due to the thriving English woollen textile industry.
Wiltshire is a historic and ceremonial county in South West England with an area of 3,485 km2 (1,346 square miles).
