He is an American Indian whose family was forced to move from wherever they settled because oil was always discovered. In the army, he works as Captain Black's assistant. He jokingly threatens to slit Captain Flume's throat while he sleeps, which accidentally drives Flume to paranoid madness. During the Siege of Bologna, he decides that he will eventually die of pneumonia, which he ultimately does.
