I thought Earth and Mars and Venus were all nearly identical in size. From everything I've ever read these three planets are nearly identical in size. That's why we've been trying to figure out how to get to Mars, as the next most likely planet capable of sustaining human life. Venus once could have been a candidate, especially considering how much closer to Earth it is than Mars. A short 30 million miles. But Venus's atmosphere became poisonous and deadly to any future human habitation because of the sun's damaging effects. Our sun already burned Mercury to a crisp and rendered it a dead planet. In fact Mercury looks as much like our moon if not more so. Mercury barely even rotates and any atmosphere it might have had was incinerated eons ago. Just to give an idea of the volatility of our sun. And strangely enough, Mercury is 30 million miles from the sun. Venus is 60 million miles from the sun and while it might not yet be dead like Mercury? It is by far the hottest planet in our galaxy. And it's surface is completely covered by toxic gaseous clouds and can no longer sustain life. It ain't dead yet but it's getting there. Thus Mars would seem our last best hope. Mars' biggest hurdle for humanity is not so much it's size? But it's distance from Earth. It is 100 million miles from Earth. At its closest. It's at least 5 years from Earth if not 10. And that? Is a huge hurdle for humanity to account for. We have yet to create the technology to allow a spaceship to traverse that astronomical crevasse.

If not known before it was in the news a lot lately.

"iron oxide dust" = rust = red = Mars. I told you all that I am smart and figure things out and don't need cheats. Especially when they are this simple.
