The 'Tiny House Hotel Caravan' with 6 tiny and unique houses (caravan dwellings) is located in which U.S. city?
The hotel with 6 unique tiny homes used for a unique lodging experience is found in the U.S. in the Pacific Northwest. It is located in the heart of the popular and vibrant Alberta Arts District in Portland, OR. The Tiny House Hotel Caravan is a unique, one-of-a-kind hotel where travelers from around the world can experience what it’s like to stay in a custom-made tiny house on wheels. The charming tiny houses were all built by local builders and range in size. Each tiny house features creative, funky, artistic design elements coupled with multi-functional, space-efficient furnishings. They all have flush toilets, hot showers, electric heat, a sitting area, a kitchen, and lots of locally made art to give each its own character.
Deb Delman and Kol Peterson are the founders, owners, and partners in running the Tiny House Hotel Caravan. Kol and Deb opened the hotel because they love the city of Portland and want to share this city and its fascination with visitors from around the world. They are helped with backgrounds and passions for education, urban planning, and environmental and social justice. These things prompted them to use their hotel to showcase some of the possibilities for tiny living with the public.
Kol and Deb mulled over the idea of opening a tiny house hotel for more than a year before they actually did it. Six dwelling units with the names: Pacifica, The Caboose, Skyline, The Tandem, Kangablue, and The Amazing Mysterium make up the hotel.
