The world's largest cashew tree is located in which country?

The ''Maior Cajueiro do Mundo'' literally translates as the largest cashew tree in the world. It is known as the Cashew of Pirangi, in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. In 1994, the tree is entered in the Guinness Book of Records.

It covers an area between 7,300 square metres (1.8 acres) and 8,400 square metres (2.1 acres). Having the size of 70 normally sized cashew trees, it has a circumference of 500m (1,600 ft). The spread over a hectare of land was created by outward growth. When bent towards the ground, the branches tend to take new roots where they touch the ground. It is now difficult to distinguish the initial trunk from the rest of the tree. The tree is said to have been planted in 1888. However, based on its growth, the tree is estimated to be more than thousand years old. It produces over 60,000 fruit each year. The Brazil's state secretary of tourism for Piavi has claimed that the Cashew of a Praia in Piavi is in fact the largest, covering an area of 8,800 square metres (2.2 acres). Rio Grande do Norte is one of the states of the Brazil, located in the northeastern region of the country. The capital and largest city is Natal.
