There are certain ribbons to show the awareness of cancer. Which ribbon in two colors represent Head & Neck Cancer?

Amazing this question would appear today. I had surgery just yesterday for this issue—had my left ear removed. Happily, preliminary pathology reports look good. Thanks for bringing this disease to the public eye.

I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of my tongue in November 2016. I have my dentist to thank - he first noticed a small whitish spot on the right side of my tongue and suggested we keep an eye on it. At my next ENT visit, I mentioned it to my ENT doctor, who eventually did the first surgical biopsy which diagnosed it. I went to MD Anderson for a second opinion and had further surgery and removal of the lymph nodes in my right head & neck. Fortunately, it was found at Stage 1, and I did not need radiation or chemo. I am a grateful advocate of Getting It Checked!

My daughter went for her first free mammogram and they picked up an 8cm lump which was removed along with 2 lymph nodes within a month followed by 4 weeks of radiation treatment. She is clear now thank goodness.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have cancer myself, malignant melanoma, and it's not always easy to deal with but we are seeing some fantastic development into research and we're getting better all the time.

I'm sorry about your brother. He was in the prime of life, what a loss. I think we all have relatives or friends who have been affected by this horrible disease and I just pray they find a cure; or better yet a vaccine.

I was diagnosed in 1998 and had radiation with many side effects but luckily still here. Since have had colon and bladder cancers. Lots of ribbons.

Why dont we combine ALL of these various 'FOUNDATIONS' and share the money ?

My daughter's Girl Scout troop wears a lime green ribbon pin on their vests. The mother of one of the girls had lymphoma.

P.S. -- Everytime I went through a round of chemo my Mom took me out to eat to celebrate except once when I didn't feel that good but she brought a large salmon sandwich home for me. We usually went out with a friend or 2. My Dad @ the time drove my Mom on a Wednesday & Dad picked her up on a Sunday. I had only a few side effects -- extreme fatigue (the 1st time I slept fir 12 hours straight)!, hot flashes (that was the only time that happened) -- I actually put my head in the freezer once (lol) & I went through many boxes of tissues bc of nose bleeds. I never get sick, again I was very lucky. My parents took me out to celebrate after it was all over.

I had Ovarian cancer almost 10 years in December, cancer free, had 6 rounds of chemo & surgery. I was the size if a cantaloupe (I always hated cantaloupe anyway), haha. It was Stage 2 only bc of where it was located & I had 95% chance of being ok. I was lucky bc Idk what I had until afterwards & I had an excellent surgeon. It was emergency surgery bc the night before I felt like I was kicked in the stomach. If it wasn't for that I would have been dead 12 hours later.
