The Behistun Inscription is a multi-lingual inscription and large rock relief on a cliff at Mount Behistun, which is located in the Kermanshah Province of Iran. It was crucial to the decipherment of cuneiform (wedge-shaped marks, originally impressed in clay tablets) script. Nowadays the inscription is considered one of the main national historical sites of Iran. It is one of the 18 historical monuments of the area, which became occupied by humans more than 40 thousand years ago.

The inscription consists of the three version of one text, presented in three different languages: Old Persian, Elamite, and Babylonian. The Babylonian version is placed above the other two, which are presented side by side.
