Located in Portland, Oregon in Old Town’s popular nightlife district, Voodoo Doughnuts is one of the city’s most unusual and delicious culinary destinations. The doughnuts, topped with creative ingredients such as bacon, Captain Crunch and Oreos, are almost as much fun to look at as they are to eat.

Local people and visitors line up 24 hours a day for what may be the most innovative doughnuts in the world. People are prepared to see adorable mustached faces, caused by the doughnuts look up at them as they eat their food. They seem to be reminded of the many bearded young men who are living in and travelling around Portland.

Now, there are several unique locations. The original location opened in 2003 just around the corner from Dan and Louis Oyster Bar, and adjacent to The Paris Theater, a historic adult movie house. Another location just over a mile away opened in June 2008. A third was officially opened in Eugene, Oregon in June 2010.

The flagship shop closed in April 2011 for an extensive remodeling. It expanded from 750 square feet to 2,300 square feet, and reopened in June 2011.

In December 2013, Voodoo Doughnuts opened its first location outside of Oregon in Denver. In May 2016, the company announced that it would open its first distinctive shop of doughnuts in California in Universal CityWalk.
