What 1960's American sitcom was about two astronauts thrown back to prehistoric times?

It's About Time is an American fantasy/science-fiction comedy TV series that aired on CBS for one season of 26 episodes in 1966–1967. The series was created by Sherwood Schwartz, and used sets, props and incidental music from Schwartz's other television series in production at the time, Gilligan's Island.

Two astronauts, Mac McKenzie (Frank Aletter) and Hector Canfield (Jack Mullaney), travel faster than the speed of light, resulting in being sent back in time to prehistoric days. There, they have to adjust to living with a cave family led by Shad (Imogene Coca) and Gronk (Joe E. Ross).

I don't recall ever watching the show, but I must have once or twice, because I can recall a few of the lyrics and some of the tune to the show's theme song. "It's about time, it's about space, (something) human race."

Was just starting to get into this when we moved north...somehow, it went off of the air, by the time we'd re-settled. Too bad...I always loved Imogene Coca!

66-67 was my first year deployment to Vietnam (aircraft carrier), so no tv time for me. Sounds like something that I would have tried though.

I loved this show when I was a kid. The theme song stuck in my head for years. I think this was when I started to like all science fiction TV, books, Movies.
