What actor played the antagonist against Warner Oland's Charlie Chan in "Charlie Chan at the Opera"?
Charlie Chan at the Opera is a 20th Century-Fox release that came out in 1936. The movie is the 13th outing that Warner Oland did as Chan. The movie co-stared Boris Karloff as the primary suspect (not going to leak the ending here), Keye Luke as Number One Son, and Charlotte Henry as Mlle and Kitty. Mr. Karloff's presence in the film improves Mr. Oland's performance as Chan and the movie is considered the best of the Chan movies.

Daniel Hutton, Martin Sheen had to change his name from Ramon Estevez as he would have struggled for parts with a Spanish name.
Sometimes they want normal or different and sometimes they have to change name because another actor shares the same name.
