I believe also according to scripture that Judas hung himself after the betrayal. I also study science and believe that the odd chance of a big bang theory without a master plan is not feasible. The more I study science the more I believe in a supreme and all knowing intellect. That intelligence let's us have free choice as humans to believe and accept as well as question. The more I study the more I see how everything fits together and I find it impossible to believe in a random act.

I remember it simply because of my RI lessons in school 50 years ago. I was a hesitant believer as a teenager, but then as a soldier, I saw too many things that a loving 'God' wouldn't let happen. The horrors I witnessed, not just on a battlefield, changed my mind completely. If your God is all powerful, why allow horror to happen. Please don't give me any lame quotes about working in mysterious ways or any other limp excuse as to why 'god' allows this. I've seen enough of 'god's work. Those that do believe, carry on. If it brings you peace and joy, good for you, am happy for you.

I have a theory. Judas was a freedom fighter. He had already seen the kind of powers Jesus had. Judas would fight.to have his Judea freed from the bitter rule of the Romans. He knew he couldn't convince Jesus to rebel but if he was faced with the threat of death, he would free himself and Judea. Hence the betrayal. Judas didn't know that was the plan of salvation already in progress. The sacrifice of the perfect Lamb and resurrection. Judas could have been forgiven had he only asked. A case of misinformation and suicide.
