Genesis is an English progressive rock group, it founded in 1967 by schoolmates at the Charterhouse public school. The principal members were Peter Gabriel (February 13, 1950, Woking, Surrey, England), Tony Banks (March 27, 1950, East Hoathly, East Sussex), Michael Rutherford (October 2, 1950, Guildford, Surrey), Phil Collins (January 31, 1951, London), and Steve Hackett (February 12, 1950, London).

By 1977, the band was down to just three members, with Collins on lead vocals, Banks, and Rutherford. It slowly developed a more mainstream sound marked by the successful albums "Duke" (1980), "Abacab" (1981), and "Invisible Touch" (1986) and scored a host of hit singles. It was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

"Land of Confusion" is a song included in their 1986 album "Invisible Touch". The video was made with the same puppets used in the British television show "Spitting Image". Collins contacted the creators of the show, to create the puppets of all the members of the band, as well as the rest of the characters that appear in the video.

The video starts with an elderly Ronald Reagan going to bed with his wife Nancy (as well as a chimpanzee), as he suddenly starts having nightmares featuring an army of soldiers stomping through a jungle filled with the heads of many political figures. In the end, Reagan wakes up from his dreams, but accidentally presses the "Nuke" button, instead of the "Nurse" button, next to his bed.
