You will learn that you will have to be very determined if you want to train this dog to show it in a competition. They are happy and loveable. They make an excellent pet whether living in an apartment or an estate.

They fell out of favor in the U.S. until the movies of the "Thin Man" starring William Powell and Myrna Loy started becoming well known. Their dog, "Asta", endeared many viewers to reconsider this breed as family pets.

Many may not know, that unlike some breeds, the usual litter is only one puppy.
