Actually there WAS an Alice's Restaurant. It was in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It isn't called that any longer, but I recently was in Stockbridge and photographed the sign at the entrance of the street where it was. The retaurant is still there but has a different name now. I'm told that Arlo Guthrie still has a home in Stockbridge, though I don't know if it's a full-time residence.
