What city in the United States has the largest population?

The largest city is NYC, but the latest MSA is LA.

Ok, the quiz I took yesterday they said California had the highest population & today it's New York! I wish they would make up their mind. The same with which is the longest river, the Nile or the Amazon? Sometimes it's the Nile & sometimes it's the Amazon. Geez!!!
