Way back in 1999, Gene Simmons, Ace Fraley, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss shocked parents, fans, kids...just about everyone you can think of with a stunning picture. Those no-holds-barred, party 'til you drop dudes of KISS appeared in a "Got Milk" ad that appeared in Spin Magazine. The boys all donned milk mustaches with the caption "Lick It Up" at the bottom of the picture. The tag was in homage to their hit of the same name. The twist in the photo was that the band wore their trademark white Kabuki makeup, so the mustaches showed up as chocolate milk.

The bottom of the photo read: "After rocking all night, we need nourishment. And every drop of chocolate milk has just as many vitamins as regular milk has."

KISS was just one of the many pop music acts to appear in the classic ad campaign. The Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Mick Jagger, Dixie Chicks and the Van Halen brothers (Alex and Eddie) have all had milk smeared on their upper lip for the campaign.

The Got Milk ads started in 1993 and ended in 2014.
