I thought that the submission was sent back to the author to correct a name misspelling or other problem. Then, there are players who ask why the reviewers did not find the errors. james parrillo, Just don't reject a question because of a couple of grammatical errors. By all means mention them at this point of the game but by doing it at the review stage stops the question from being published in the first place. Refer to Ken Murray's statement and you'll see that very good questions of his may well have been thrown out and now he's not doing anymore. I guess you wouldn't understand, though. You've never authored any questions yourself. Give it a go and put your very hard work at the mercy of the grammar police. If it gets rejected, you'll then know why.😉😉

Jerry Edwards, I deeply appreciate those who submit questions. I would not know how to combine the elements needed to construct one. From the perspective of a reviewer, how is one to let the author know about grammatical errors? Then, players comment that the reviewers were lax when an explanation needed some type of correction. Jerry Edwards, so true Jerry. After three questions I stopped doing them due to people rejecting them for ridiculous reasons. I decided to try again a couple of weeks ago but my well researched question was rejected because my explanation was too short so never again.

teacherchicky, Of course, as you're not an author, you wouldn't know that a reference is not required. You get more credibility (and points, by the way) if your narrative is relative to the question but explained yourself. Have a go at constructing a question yourself before criticising others efforts. You may then understand how frustrating it can be for all your hard work to be rejected at review simply because it hasn't got a reference or worse still because a comma or a full stop is in the wrong place!
