In May 1994, Midway Games released "Revolution X" as a rail-shooter by the people who helped create "Judgment Day" and "Mortal Kombat". To enhance the game experience, the soundtrack is made up of Aerosmith tunes such as “Eat The Rich”, "Fever", and “Sweet Emotion”, among others.

Up to three players are on their way to see the band at L.A.’s Club X when a tyrannical military alliance called 'New Order Nation', attempts to seize global control, leaving them as some of the last free youths. The first battle erupts during the concert, revealing a message from Aerosmith’s frontman saying the New Order must be stopped. After that, players steal a helicopter and fight another in mid-air to find the band’s car.

Now you choose where to go next. Players must raid and destroy New Order strongholds in Japan, Egypt, and Brazil, in any sequence. Once all levels are complete, they proceed to Great Britain’s Wembley Stadium to face the New Order's monstrous leader. If they succeed, the players are lauded as heroes of the Revolution, but there is a special reward for those who know the secrets…

The five members of Aerosmith are hidden in the game's first five levels, and if you can figure out how to find them all, defeating New Order wins you a private concert and you meet the band!

“Revolution X” was a quarter-munching success in the arcades. GamePro Magazine gave it a glowing review, declaring “Rev X is not a revolution in gun games, but it's definitely the best one yet.”
