What is a group of owls called?
A group of Owls is called a parliament. This is the most popular and accepted term. Owls are a group of birds that belong to the order Strigiformes, constituting 200 extant bird of prey species. They are found in all regions of the earth except Antarctica, most of Greenland and some remote islands. Owls are characterized by their small beaks and wide faces, and are divided into two families: the typical owls, Strigidae; and the barn-owls, Tytonidae.

I love owls. In Hawaiian families there are animals called "Au Makua". They for the most part are the families "spirit animals". Sharks, dolphins, turtles, geckos, boars, and owls are Au Makua, as well as other animals. Ours is the owl. Lol...

Of all the members of the bird family, the Owl and Eagle gain the most love and respect from me. I would place Owl above Eagle for the one reason I’ve actually held more than one in my hands! The first one sadly was dead, it was a beautiful White Barn Owl that was saved by my Mothers Father as a baby after some predator had invaded the nest he was in with his family and was thrown out of the nest that happened to be in the rafters of my Grandfathers barn. Pepe had saved the little baby owl and for some reason (folks have told us Owl are very intelligent) stayed around his whole life in that barn for many years till he was found deceased by an Aunt of mine on the barn floor, this was back about 70 or so years, before laws that prohibited things like having him brought to a taxidermist and mounted! That is how as a young boy I came to hold him! The next was an older Owl that I found that was hurt and we brought him to a Veterinarian Dr., who patched him up and then set him free as I watched in amazement as the Owl actually flew around ME! To this day I believe that was a thanks! The third was just a few years ago at my home, we found a small baby Owl just perched in a small Christmas tree we had planted after the last Christmas a few months before. The little one seamed afraid, hungry and lost so I offered it a worm that he took right out of my fingers, I then put another one on my palm and offered it on my opened hand, he jumped out of the tree and rested on my wrist then while perched on my wrist slowly this time ate away. After he was finished he just looked at me with those big gold eyes, kind of wiped his beak with a wing and slowly just flew off! Later on we found him in a nest high up under the roof of our gazebo in our yard, until the time we went away on a three week vacation and after that never saw him again! Anything I’ve ever heard about Owls have been amazing!

Strange term really as owls are quite wise, which can't be said of a lot of usual parliamentarians :-)
