What is a Simian?
The simians (infraorder Simiiformes, Anthropoidea) are the monkeys, cladistically including the apes: The New World monkeys or platyrrhines, and the catarrhine clade consisting of the Old World monkeys and apes.
The simian line and the tarsier line diverged about 60 million years ago (during the Cenozoic era). Forty million years ago, simians from Africa colonized South America, giving rise to the New World monkeys. The remaining simians (catarrhines) split 25 million years ago into apes and Old World monkeys.

Whole lot of monkey business ! Stanford Gidley...good grief! Reckoning time literally as man would is foolishness. God who is the beginning and the end, the "alpha & omega" operates on a level that is beyond our comprehension. I have no problem reconciling The Bible with science.

Well, keep going southward and you have no Panama Canal to cross but you might later on cross paths with some relatives who'd crossed from S.E. Asia to Peru-ish [ eg Thor Heyerdhals' Kon Tiki Expedition wherein he'd proven that man could get from Polynesia to Hawaii in a boat of thatched straw ] Meanwhile... Those later Generations of Mongolians whom had crossed into Alaska and went eastward, were later to cross paths with the 'ORIGINS' of Africa who'd spread westward to eventually become VIKINGS. Ever wonder how so many different languages have similar words ? And names too ! eg: George, Frank, Peter . You going to ask about the Irish next ? God ( Protestant or Catholic ) only knows how they got there ! (haha)
