Charles Francis "Charlie" Harper is a fictional character in the American television sitcom "Two and a Half Men" during the first eight seasons. Played by actor Charlie Sheen (b. 1965), the character garnered him four Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and two Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Comedy Series. Created by Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn, the show ran for twelve seasons from 22 September 2003 to 19 February 2015.

Regular viewers of "Two and a Half Men" eventually learn that after being expelled from Juilliard School, Charlie Harper moved back to Los Angeles with the intention of becoming a film composer. He met a commercial producer who listened to Charlie's work and thus, Charlie began his career writing jingles for television commercials.

He later became a successful composer and singer of children's music using the alias "Charlie Waffles", after the commercial jingle business had dried up. In one episode, the audience learns that the kids and their parents love him and he even signs CDs of his jingles. He suffers from a certain amount of stage fright, but has a high-proof answer to it by getting drunk (which actually works out), finding a huge approving reception with the live audience. Charlie Waffles regales his fans with such songs as "Who Cut the Cheese?", "Mommy's Little Happy Pill", and "Weekend Daddy".
